We need your help!

If you are ever treated to a fine meal, remember what a wise man once said: “Nothing is so expensive as free.” This goes for art as much as for hospitality. DVAN strives to produce and host high-quality events that bring the best of diasporic Vietnamese art and literature to audiences free of charge, but there are, of course, all manner of expenses we must confront. Rest assured that if you donate to DVAN, all the money will go towards promoting the works of Vietnamese artists and writers in the diaspora (we do have to provide a small commission to our very worthy nonprofit fiscal sponsor, Intersection for the Arts). None of the people who work for DVAN are paid for their work.

You can donate with a credit card online. Make sure that you select DVAN (“Diaspora Vietnamese Art. Ntwk.”) in the “Please choose where you’d like to direct your donation.” section to ensure the donation will be recorded for DVAN.

You can also donate with a check. Please download the donation form here and send your check “for DVAN” to Intersection for the Arts 5M, 925 Mission Street, Suite 109, San Francisco, CA 94103; or to P.O. Box 720053, San Francisco, CA 94172. Donations should be written to “Intersection for the Arts” with “for DVAN” in the memo, and are tax deductible.

DVAN is always looking for in-kind donation form as well. These are also tax-deductible! We need office supplies (paper, stamps, computers, printers, etc.) as well as things that can be used for our events: flowers, food, books, artwork, projectors, speakers, microphones, etc. In addition, we stage a fund-raiser once a year with a silent auction, and we need items that can be auctioned, including artwork and gift certificates, but also anything you think people would want. An iPod you no longer need? A cashmere scarf that’s just not you? A Gucci handbag you’re too embarrassed to carry around in these hard times? Give them to DVAN! Contact Isabelle Thuy Pelaud or Viet Thanh Nguyen for more information and-or download the in-kind donation form.

You can also support DVAN by buying one of these donated artworks here:
